New and Updated Information:
There is no ideal template that is perfect for every webmaster. That's a fact. From fancy to plain, from subtle to bold colors, you will find that today you have thousands of choices. Picking just one can be both difficult and time consuming. The template you choose should be one that best fits your needs.
Whether you have purchased one of our templates or are using one by another designer, getting started normally involves the same steps:
1. You are going to purchase and then download your new template. You will want to save the file you download to a safe location on your own hard drive, It's always a good idea to make a backup copy and place it onto a CD or floppy disk. Be sure to label your media with the name of the template, date of purchase, and receipt number.
2. You template will usually come as a zipped file. You will need to unzip the file, read the accompanying documentation, and then copy the web folder to the location where you normally keep your webs. Usually this is in My Documents > My Web Sites. It is also important that you create a backup copy of your original zipped file for safekeeping.
3. You will need to create your web site. We have instructions on how to do this along with some information on how to modify page names, etc.
